About the Position

As a production engineer, you will step into an exciting consulting assignment with one of QRIOS Life Sciences partners in the Life Science sector in Uppsala. This is your initial assignment as a consultant at QRIOS, starting ASAP and lasting until September 30, 2026. The assignment is full-time and on-site.

In this role, you will be a hub between production, technology, and quality – with a clear focus on manufacturing. The assignment combines daily production-related work with long-term development work related to new product projects. As a consultant at QRIOS, there are also good opportunities for continued assignments and development after this assignment.

QRIOS Life Science operates throughout the Mälardalen region (from Södertälje to Uppsala), Gothenburg, and Skåne. We always take into account where you as a consultant want to work, and our assignments are usually geographically concentrated – there is no expectation of commuting across Sweden. Your Main Responsibilities

Provide daily technical support to production
Handle deviations and troubleshoot process equipment
Drive Change Control cases
Collaborate with the maintenance department and external contractors
Participate in and contribute to new product projects (about 50% of the role) as the receiving engineer and member of the Core team
Overall cleanroom responsibility for the department (four cleanrooms)
Work with revalidations, microbiological deviations, and CC cases related to cleanrooms
Act as a production representative during audits
Support and drive complaint investigations
Participate in improvement work and update production documentation
Conduct and document risk analyses

The engineering work is characterized by variation, responsibility, and the opportunity to influence daily operations in a high-tech production environment.

Who Are You?

Master's degree or equivalent in biotechnology, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or similar
Experience in manufacturing and working in cleanrooms is highly meritorious
Good knowledge of cleanrooms and GMP-related work
Experience in new product projects
Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Proficient in MS Office

Meritorious:

Knowledge in process and product development
Experience with systems such as Unicorn, Oracle, Magic, and/or Veeva

As a person, you are a team player with strong collaboration skills. You are quality- and safety-conscious, structured, and enjoy managing multiple parallel activities. You combine technical depth with a pragmatic and solution-oriented approach.
